REMARKS. The species is one of the smaller of the genus with body lengths of 16–18 mm Sanborn 2016c). The addition brings the known cicada diversity of Paraguay to 27 species ( Sanborn 2011c; 2019a) with one questionable species included in the total ( Sanborn 2014).
DISTRIBUTION. The species has been reported previously from Argentina, Brazil, and French Guiana ( Metcalf 1963; Sanborn 2013; Sanborn et al. 2011; Sanborn & Heath 2014; Sanborn 2016c; Nunes et al. 2023).
