Type material. CHINA: Holotype ♂, Mt. Daming (23.52ºN, 108.34ºE), Nanning , Guangxi, 1200 m, 7.VIII.2010, coll. Shulian Hao and Yinghui Sun, slide No. DZH11052 GoogleMaps . Paratypes: 5♂, 5‒7.VIII.2010, other data same as holotype, slide Nos. DZH11046 ♂ GoogleMaps , DZH12368♂.
DiagNosis. This new species can be distinguished from other members of this subgroup by the valva produced to a leaf-like distal process curving dorsad.
DescriptioN. Adult ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 2−9 ) wingspan 7.5−8.5 mm. Head with vertex shining white, frons and occiput deep brown. Labial palpus with first segment yellow; second segment deep brown on outside, grayish white on inside; third segment about 2/3 length of second, basal 3/5 white, distal 2/5 black. Antenna with scape white, pecten deep brown; flagellum with dorsal surface white on basal 1/4, white ringed with black on distal 3/4, ventral surface deep brown. Thorax and tegula deep ochreous brown. Forewing deep ochreous yellow, grayish black along costal 2/3, with scattered black scales on distal 2/5 of dorsum; antemedian fascia white, extending from beyond basal 1/4 of costa obliquely outward to basal 3/5 of dorsum, widened anteriorly, edged with black scales; costal spot at basal 3/4, white edged with black scales except along costa, elliptical, occupying anterior 2/3 of wing width; cilia gray mixed with black, except white around apex and tinged with brown scales below apex. Hindwing and cilia gray. Foreleg black, tarsus marked with white at apex of each tarsomere dorsally; midleg with tibia and tarsus pale gray on ventral side, black on dorsal side, tibia with a tuft of long white scales at apex, tarsus marked with white at apex of each tarsomere; hindleg yellow on ventral surface, deep gray on dorsal surface, tarsus marked with white at apex of each tarsomere.
Male genitalia ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 10−15 ). Uncus triangular, broad at base, slightly narrowed to rounded apex. Gnathos triangular, shorter than uncus, scobinate on distal 1/5, narrowly rounded at apex. Tegumen divided from posterior 1/5, narrowly elongate, with a small tooth-like process anteriorly. Valva with basal 2/3 parallel, distal 1/3 narrowed, produced to a leaf-like distal process with denticles and pointed at apex, curved dorsad. Sacculus uniformly wide in basal 2/3, slightly narrower between basal 2/5 and 3/4, protruded at 3/4 dorsally, distal 1/4 narrowed to rounded apex, with denticles and strong setae. Saccus strong, about 2.7 times length of uncus, slightly narrowed to apex. Juxta inverted sub-conic. Aedeagus about 4/5 length of valva, basal 2/3 straight, thicker, distal 1/3 produced to a slender spine; cornutus spiniform, about 1/5 length of aedeagus, with a protuberance at basal 2/3, placed before slender spine.
Female unknown.
DistributioN. China (Guangxi).
Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin foli- and processus, referring to the leaf-like distal process of the valva.
