Material examined. CHINA. 3 ♂, 2 ♀, altitude 2400 m, 24. V .2018, Le Village, Cuona County, Shannan District , Xizang Autonomous Region, P. R . China, leg. Tian-peng Chen ( SCAU); 3 ♂, same locality and collector, but 23. V .2018 ( SCAU). Additional material: 301 specimens of both sexes from NE India (Sikkim, north of West Bengal ), C and E Nepal ( NHMUK, MWM / ZSM) .
Diagnosis. Barsine mactans is similar externally to members of B. flammealis species-group and B. fangchenglaiae sp. nov., but can be distinguished from them by the combination of characters mentioned in the ‘Remarks’ chapter in the description of B. fangchenglaiae sp.nov.
Distribution. China * (S Xizang), NE India ( Butler 1877, Volynkin & Černý 2016 b, Singh et al. 2014, Kirti & Singh 2016), Nepal ( Kishida 2000).
