Subgenus Glossoscolex
Diagnosis. One pair of intracoelomic copulatory pouches/bulbs associated with a pair of external intraclitellar male genital pores ( Righi 1971).
Number of described species/subspecies: 48. Distribution: Argentina (6), Brazil (41), Paraguay (4), Uruguay (4). In a few cases (5) species have been found in more than one country ( Fragoso & Brown 2007).
