M.Wu, J.Liu, W.Zheng, L.Gao; ZI RAS-N193: type, Nanping, Sichuan, China, 1885-VII- 19, coll. Potanin, det. Moellendorff). SMF-41994: Holotype. Nan-ping, Kansu, China. Slg. O.v.Moellendorff (Measurement of holotype: ewh 1.500, wh 6.250, h 21.1, diam. maj. 11.8, aph 9.9, apw 7.6). SMF-41995: two young shells. Ha-ti-gu bei Nan-ping, China. Slg. O.v.Moellendorff.
Distribution. Sichuan, Gansu.
Type locality. Nanping (Sichuan, China).
Diagnosis. Shell bandless; not or faintly striate. Aperture with weak angular tubercle. Most swollen part at penultimate and body whorls. With 6.250–7.000 whorls; height 17.1–21.5, diam. maj. 9.6–12.5. Penis without penial caecum; internally with more than 2 fine longitudinal pilasters. Papilla developed by fused proximal pilasters forming V-shaped structure present. Epiphallus forming a few loops. Epiphallic caecum absent.
Re-description of shell. Ovate; apex not protruded. Most swollen part at body whorl. Dextral; thin; solid; semitranslucent; glossy; not speckled; never spirally grooved; with 6.250–6.664–7.000 whorls. Upper whorls normally coloured. Whorls not shouldered; normally convex. Embryonic shell smooth; not polished; with 1.250–1.508–1.750 whorls. Postnuclear whorls smooth. Last whorl slightly gradually ascending towards aperture; rounded at periphery; without smoothed spiral peripheral depression. Shell 17.1–18.5–21.5 high; 9.6–10.7– 12.5 in diam. maj. Height/width ratio 1.57–1.73–1.89. Aperture ovate; not adnate; oblique; not armed; with a tiny angular tubercle; height 8.1–8.8–9.7, width 6.3–7.0–7.8. Ratio of shell height to aperture height 1.92–2.10–2.26. Peristome reflexed, forming a distinct cuff; expanded; thickened. Parietal callus indistinct. Columellar margin reflexed. Umbilicus narrowly open. Shell uniformly coloured or multicoloured; mostly uniformly greenish brown, some individuals with weak whitish streaks below apex; not brightly banded; spirally bandless.
Genitalia. Vas deferens long; swollen proximally; entering epiphallus apically with distinct demarcation. Epiphallus long; cylindrical and of uniform thickness; forming a few loops; externally smooth. Epiphallic caecum absent. Flagellum present; short; conic; proximally normal; with tip blunt. Penis clavate; evenly thick; without penial caecum; thin-walled; internally with more than 2 fine longitudinal pilasters. Penis internally Vshaped pilaster with proximal free end approaching at penial retractor insertion; distally developing a papilla in median size. Other structure inside penis absent. Penial process sac-like; situated at boundary between epiphallus and penis. Penial verge absent. Penial appendix moderately long; branched off from proximal portion of penis; divided into sections including A-1+A-2, A-3, A-4 and A-5. A-1 long. A-1 and A-2 fused. A- 2 near A-3 internally without a ring of papilla. A-2 and A-3 not fused. A-3 opening into A-2 by short papilla. Boundary between A-4 and A-5 indistinct. A-5 short; straight. Penial retractor biramous; attaching to penis in middle part and to A-1+ A-2; with penial retractor arms arising from diaphragm closed to each other. Additional retractor other than penial or appendicular absent. Muscular band connecting vagina and epiphallus absent. Atrium short; without atrial retractor. Free oviduct moderately long; subequal to vagina in length. Vagina long; swollen; straight; not lined with loose, spongy tissue; unpigmented. Bursa copulatrix duct rather long; proximally twisted. Bursa copulatrix with stalk; without apical ligament; voluminous; with long neck; well defined. Diverticle normally present; shorter than reservoir; expanded. Bursa copulatrix and diverticle distinguishable; forked more distally from their base.
Measurement of genitalia. P: 4.1; Ep: 22; Fl: 0.6; VD: 14.2; Va: 3.9; FO: 2.6; BCD: 19; BC: 1.4; D: 2.6; A-1+A-2: 3.9; A3: 1.5; A-4+A-5: 13.4 (in HBUMM-05577-specimen 13).
