( Figs. 24–27 View FIGURES 20–27 )
Current status: Triatoma lecticularia ( Stål, 1859) ; combination proposed by Usinger (1944: 62).
LECTOTYPE male ( Figs. 24–26 View FIGURES 20–27 ) with labels ( Fig. 27 View FIGURES 20–27 ): “Type” [red, pr] // “ Lectotypus [red colored] / Conorhinus / lecticularius / Stål [hw] / Wygodzinsky det.” [pr] // “lecticula- / rius Stål” [hw] // “ Ind or. Ill ” [yellow, hw] // “sanguisugus / Leconte” [hw] // “2920” [pr]
Remarks. Lent & Wygodzinsky (1979: 252–253) indicated that the type of C. lecticularius was held in the “Zoologisches Museum”, Berlin, and designated it as a lectotype. They also stated that the locality label of the lectotype was “obviously erroneous (...) because Triatoma lecticularia does not occur in the East Indies” [ India Orientalis in Stål (1859)].
