Only the species Trypophloeus granalatus Ratzeburg is reported from Iran.

Body clyndrical. Elytra 1.45−1.5 as long as wide. Pronotum with rows of regular serrations. Male with 1−3 hooked denticles on the fourth interstriae of the declivity. Palearctic distribution: Bulgaria, Belgium, Croatia, Russia, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Norway, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, Serbia and Montenegro, Egypt ( Knížek 2011), Iran ( Beaver et al. 2016).

Iran distribution: Gorgan-Golestan Province ( Amini et al. 2017).

Host plants in Iran: Populus euphratica , P. nigra (Mohajer 2006; Pffefer 1995), Alnus spp. ( Amini et al. 2017).
