Only one Kissophagus species is known in Iran ( Table 1 View TABLE 1 ).

Kissophagus vicinus (Comolli) (= K. hederae (Schmitt)) : Hairs in posterior part of pronotum radiated. Pronotum longer than wide. Frons with median line slightly raised. Body 2.0− 2.4 mm long.

Palaearctic distribution: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, France, Great Britain, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, The Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, Russia, Algeria, Turkey ( Knížek 2011), Iran ( Beaver et al. 2016).

Iran distribution: East Azarbaijan ( Samin et al. 2011). Shafarood-Guilan province ( Amini et al. 2017)

Host plants in Iran: Hedera helix (Mohajer 2006) .
