Status: Probably introduced.

Galápagos distribution: Volcán Sierra Negra (12), Pinta (3), Pinzón (1), San Cristóbal (13) and Santa Cruz (1).

Vegetation zones: It is reported from all vegetation zones from arid zone to summit fern-sedge zone.

Altitudinal range: 100-650 m.

World distribution: South America: Costa Rica, Cocos Island, Guyana, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.
