Prosopodesmus jacobseni Silvestri, 1910

Status: Introduced.

Galápagos distribution: Floreana (1), Volcán Sierra Negra(4), San Cristóbal (8) and Santa Cruz (15). Vegetation zones: Was found within all vegetation zones from arid zone to summit fern-sedge zone except in the Scalesia zone . Also very frequent in caves. Normally only on inhabited islands.

Altitudinal range: - 10–760 m.

World distribution: Java, India, Zanzibar, Brazil, Haiti, Puerto Rico, Panama and Florida.
