Status: Introduced synanthropic species.
Galápagos distribution: Floreana (1) and Santa Cruz (4) (islands inhabited by man). Vegetation zones: Agricultural zone and in caves.
Altitudinal range: - 10–500 m
World distribution: South America ( Panama, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Caribbean islands, Ecuador), Africa ( Tanzania), the Seychelles, Java, Sulawesi, Luzon, New Caledonia, the Christmas and Loyalty islands.
