Type locality: Europe.

Additional distribution: Native to West Palaearctic region. Introduced in USA; Argentina; Brazil; Chile.

Host plant: Laurus nobilis .

Remarks: First recorded in California in 1911 ( Crawford 1914); common name: bay sucker, or laurel psyllid.
