Type material examined. Lectotype of Chionaema aurantiipuncta Rothschild, 1912 (hereby designated) ( Fig. 1 ): male, “Lombok | Sapit 2000´| Mai–Juni 1896 | H. Fruhstorfer ” / red label “ Chionaema | aurantiipuncta | Type Rothsch” / “Rothschild | Bequest | B.M.1939-1.” / “part of head & antennae | of some other species | glued on G.Y.H.” / QR- code label with unique number: “ NHMUK010402109 ” ( NHMUK) . Holotype of Cyana nusa ( Figs 2 , 8 ): male, “ Indonesien / Flores W | Prov. Nusa Tenggara | Timur, Ranggawatu | Telekom-Stat., 900m | 33 km E Labuhanbajo | 12.4.1996 Prim. wald | leg. Dr. R. Brechlin” / “Slide | ZSM Arct. | 2019- 336♂ | A. Volynkin ” ( MWM / ZSM) . Paratypes of Cyana nusa : 10 males and 2 females from Indonesia, Flores and Sumbawa Islands ( MWM / ZSM) (listed by Volynkin (2019)) .

Additional material examined: 1 male, Lombok, Sapit 2000´, April 1896, H. Fruhstorfer, unique number: NHMUK014173043 , gen. prep. No.: NHMUK010317200 (prepared by Volynkin) ( NHMUK).

Notes. (1) The type specimen of C. aurantiipuncta was missed by the author during his work with the Cyana collections held in NHMUK, which led to the description of C. nusa from the same region. Subsequently, through examination of the syntype of C. aurantiipuncta along with the topotypical male and comparison them with the types of C. nusa , the conspecificity of the two taxa has been proven therefore C. nusa is hereby synonymised with C. aurantiipuncta . (2) In the original description of Chionaema aurantiipuncta, Rothschild (1912) did not mentioned the number of the specimens. In order to stabilise the nomenclature, the syntype specimen labeled as “Type” and preserved in the NHMUK collection is hereby designated as lectotype.

Distribution. The species is known from Nusa Tenggara Islands (Lombok, Sumbawa and Flores), Indonesia ( Rothschild 1912; Volynkin 2019).
