Distribution. Known from Argentina, Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, the United States of America, Venezuela and the Virgin Islands ( Brailovsky & Barrera 1998, Coscarón & Pall 2015, Eger et al. 2015, Linares & Orozco 2017, Neyra et al. 2020, Cazorla 2021). Colombia, Dominica, El Salvador, Ecuador, Jamaica, Montserrat, St. Lucia, and Trinidad are new country records.
