REMARKS.—This species can be distinguished by the much lighter infuscation on the fore wing veins that either P. hammondi or P. stalagmoptera . The posterior half of the male opercula is dark brown.
DISTRIBUTION.—The species has been reported only from Ecuador ( Duffels & van der Laan 1985; Sanborn 2013) and is currently known only from the type locality of Tinlandia, Pinchicha province ( Boulard 1978).
