REMARKS.—This species can be distinguished from the other Ecuadorian species by its intermediate body size (body length about 31.5 mm, wingspan about 114 mm), the rounded apex of the postclypeus when viewed from the dorsal side, and the fore wing radial crossvein being separated from the radiomedial crossvein by less than twice the length of the radial crossvein ( Torres 1960).
DISTRIBUTION.—The species has been reported from Brazil and Ecuador ( Duffels & van der Laan 1985). It has been reported from Quito, Pichincha province ( Torres 1960).
