REMARKS.—A small to medium sized species (body length less than 20 mm) of the genus that is unique in the large spot of infuscation on the apex of both the fore wings and hind wings and distal anal cell 2 of the hind wing.

DISTRIBUTION.—The species has been reported from Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru ( Metcalf 1963c; Sanborn 2013; 2020b). Goding (1925) reported the species from Tarqui, Azuay province.
