Material. 3 ♂♂, 1 ♀ (UTQ), Iraq, TQ, Al- Nasiriya city, Alzuhairiah village, N31°10'37", E46°19'53", wet agricultural land, in the soil under palm trees, 15.XII.2021, coll. AY ; 2 ♂♂, 2 ♀♀ (UTQ), Al- Nasiriya city, Abu Hamira village, N31°09'10", E46°15'60", wet agricultural land, in the soil under palm trees, 13.XII.2021, coll. AY ; 2 ♂♂, 1 ♀ (UTQ), MA, Al- Salam district , on Batira river, 47 km SE Amara city, N31°32'23", E46°58'56", wet agricultural land, in the soil under palm trees, 20 m, 11.XI.2022, coll. AY .

Previous records. Babil: [ BB 1] ( Al-Doori et al. 2020) and Basrah: [ BS 1], [ BS 2], [ BS 3] ( Al-Simary et al. 2022) provinces.

Distribution. Spread in Europe, introduced to North America ( Stoev 2000; Sammet et al. 2018).

Remarks. Al-Doori et al. (2020) recorded specimens with 20 antennal articles (vs. 25–30 ones in L. microps ; Eason 1974; Stoev 2002).

Records from Iraq require confirmation.

Remarks. These taxa have never been assigned to a subgenus.
