(1981), Zavodnik (1979), Gillet (1985/1986), Ambrogi et al. (1987), Zavodnik and Vidaković (1987), Parisi et al. (1990), Zahtila (1997) in the NA sea are attributed to A. assimilis Tebble, 1959 (Castelli 1987) .

REMARKS: Following conclusions of Katzmann and Laubier (1975), the specimens determined as Aricidea punctata Katzmann, 1973 , a taxon described from the Adriatic Sea ( Katzman 1973e), as well as those reported as Aricidea cf. neosuecica Hartman, 1965 , should be referred to A. simonae .
