REMARKS: Although L. squamatus has been reported several times in the Mediterranean and the Adriatic seas, its presence could not be confirmed. These records could be the result of misindentification with L. clava (Montagu, 1808) or L. tenuisetosus (Gravier, 1902) ( Barnich & Fiege 2003) .
® (AL) Lepidonotus tenuisetosus (Gravier, 1902) DISTRIBUTION: NA.
NEW RECORDS: BM5, BM6.
REMARKS: Alien species in the Mediterranean Sea with Indo-Pacific/Red Sea origin ( Zenetos et al. 2010). It was reported for the first time in the Eastern Mediterranean along the coasts of Israel and Egypt and is considered as a possible Lessepsian migrant ( Barnich & Fiege 2003). These are the first records from the Adriatic Sea. DEPOSITED MATERIAL: BM6, 30.07.2007., 1 spec. (PMR-17630).
