REMARKS: Recent phylogenetic analyses ( Kupriyanova 2003; Kupriyanova & Rouse 2008; Kupriyanova et al. 2006; Lehrke et al. 2007) confirmed that Serpulidae includes the subfamily Spirorbinae (in this list including Janua , Neodexiospira , Nidificaria , Pileolaria , Protolaeospira, Simplara , Spirorbis and Vinearia ), which was previously considered to be a distinct family, Spirorbidae .
