REMARKS: Bianchi (1981a), following the opinion of Zibrowius (1973), who considered that it was not possible to identify correctly the species of the genera Filograna Berkeley, 1835 and Salmacina Claparède, 1870 , reported specimens of both genera from the Italian waters as Filograna sp. The Filograna / Salmacina complex in the Adriatic Sea comprises three species: Filograna implexa , Salmacina dysteri (Huxley, 1855) and S. incrustans Claparède, 1870 . Due to the confusing literature the distributions of the different species is uncertain ( Castelli et al. 2008).
