DISTRIBUTION: NA, CA, SA.
LITERATURE RECORDS: Bianchi 1981b; Vaccarella & Pastorelli 1982; Bianchi 1983a; Bianchi & Morri 1984; Occhipinti-Ambrogi et al. 1987, 1988; Castelli et al. 2008; Radić 2009. NEW RECORDS: BM76; south of Brindisi ( Italy, SA), in 1988 (A. Giangrande, pers. comm.). OTHER REPORTED NAMES: Pileolaria pseudomilitaris (Thiriot-Quiévreux, 1965) ; Spirorbis (Laeospira) pseudomilitaris Thiriot-Quiévreux, 1965 .
REMARKS: Radić (2009) reported the species along the Fulija Island (near Iž Island, CA) and at Kornati Islands (CA).
