REMARKS: These are the first records from the Adriatic Sea. Pseudopolydora paucibranchiata is an alien species from the Pacific Ocean ( Okuda 1937; Zenetos et al. 2010). In the Mediterranean Sea it was recorded along the Aegean and Turkish Levantine coasts ( Dagli & Çinar 2008). The Mediterranean specimens were previously confused with P. antennata (Claparède, 1868) ( Çinar et al. 2006) . Since P. antennata was reported from the whole Adriatic Sea it is possible that some of those records refer to P. paucibranchiata , and thus they should be carefully re-examined.
