REMARKS: In European waters S. impatiens has been considered a synonym of S. tetraura (Schmarda, 1861) , but without making a revision of both species ( Martins et al. 2012). Considering that type locality of S. impatiens is in the Mediterranean, while S. tetraura was described from South Africa, Martins et al. (2012) suggest that S. tetraura is not present in Europe, and the name S. impatiens should be used instead, for European specimens. However a revision of both species is needed in order to clarify their status. In this checklist records of S. tetraura are recorded under S. impatiens .
