Austrophthiracarus baloghi Niedbała, 1987 View in CoL
( Fig. 8A–C View FIGURE 8 )
Measurements of selected specimens: (1): prodorsum: length 394, height 182; notogaster: length 838, height 566; (2): length 308, height 111; notogaster: length 566, height 353.
Material examined. Vic. Errinundra Plateau, 37o16’S, 148o53’E, Goonmirk Roks Rd. Podocarp litter, NMY Survey, November 1982 (6 specimens). GoogleMaps
Remarks. The specimens from Goonmirk have the same characters as the holotype, but the notogastral setae are longer than in specimens from Tasmania (Niedbała 2006). Setae c 1 are slightly more remote from anterior margin. Furthermore some specimens have more notogastral setae (19 or 20) and more adanal setae (six pairs) ( Fig. 8B View FIGURE 8 ).
Notophthiracarus calugarae Niedbała, 1987 ( Fig. 8D View FIGURE 8 )
Measurements of one specimen: prodorsum: length 520, height 369; notogaster: length 1030, height 808. Material examined. Vic. Central Highlands, Acheron Gap. 37o40’43”S, 144o44’20”E, 6 km NE of Mt Donna Buang, moss and litter, Nothofagus cunninghami , 28 December 1995, leg. G Milledge (3 specimens). Remarks. The specimens have femur I with setae d bifurcated and setae v” situated on posterior side of setae v’. I suppose that fig XLII, 4 in Niedbała 1987 is incorrect.
