Diagnosis. Most species black, often with one to several pale spots along embolium. Compound eyes extending beyond lateral margins of pronotum. Pronotum sharply convex, usually prominent, much higher than hemelytra. Hemelytra with silvery pruinose areas; embolium explanate.
