Distribution. Throughout Europe ( Merz & Korneyev, 2004). Ukraine: widespread; Chernivtsi Region (first record).

Notes. Induces galls in flower heads of Centaurea spp. ( Asteraceae ) (Korneyev & White, 1996). Overwinters as larvae.
