Distribution. Throughout Europe ( Merz & Korneyev, 2004). All Ukraine; Chernivtsi Region (first record).
Notes. Larvae in flower heads of Centaurea , Cirsium , Carduus , Serratula ( Asteraceae ) (Merz, 1994), which possibly form different host races or cryptic species.
