Distribution. Throughout Europe to the Near East and Central Asia ( Merz & Korneyev, 2004). Throughout Ukraine; Chernivtsi Region (first record).
Notes. Larvae in stems of Tragopogon ( Asteraceae ) (Merz, 1994). Overwinters as larvae in lower part of stems.
