Type and only known species: Asionyctia guoi sp. nov.

Etymology: Composed of “Asia” for its Asian origin, and “nyctia” (from Greek nyx, nyctos —night), a common suffix in the family Nyctitheriidae ; together referring to the specific Asian character of this new nyctitheriid.

Diagnosis.—As for the type and only known species.
