Distribution and habitat:— Brazil (Espírito Santo).
Taxonomic Notes: —Known only from the type collection, this species is distinct by the reddish pappus. Very similar to H. pedunculata , from which it only differs by narrower and more flexuous peduncles and smaller capitula. Additional material of this species is needed to determine whether it is or not conspecific with H. pedunculata .
