Description of Solibacillus isronensis 18H3T14

Cells are Gram-staining-positive, non-flagellated, rod-shaped, and aerobic. Colonies are circular, raised, smooth, and white colored after 2 days on MH at 30℃. Negative for oxidase. Does not hydrolyze esculin or gelatin. Does not reduce nitrate to nitrite. Cannot produce acid from glucose. Does not produce indole. Dose not possess activity of β -galactosidase, arginine dihydrolase, or urease. Assimilates potassium gluconate, but not glucose, arabinose, mannose, mannitol, maltose, N- acetyl-glucosamine, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate, or phenylacetic acid. Strain 18H3T14 (= NIBRBAC000502547) was isolated from around the river soil, Seoul, Korea. The GenBank accession number for the 16S rRNA gene sequence is MK129290.
