Dose not possess activity of β -galactosidase, arginine dihydrolase, or urease. Does not assimilate glucose, arabinose, mannose, mannitol, maltose, N- acetyl-glucosamine, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate, or phenylacetic acid. Strain CAU 1496 (= NIBRBAC000502369) was isolated from mine drainage, Gapyeong-gun, Korea. The GenBank accession number for the 16S rRNA gene sequence is MK053894.
