Distribution: It occurs in Argentina and Paraguay ( Rico-Arce 2007); in Brazil it occurs only in the states of the South region ( Flora do Brasil 2020). In ParNa Iguaçu it occurs in Matelandia in the Capanema area and in the Foz do Iguaçu area.
Reproductive period: According to Barros & Morim (2014) it flowers from November to February and fruits from November to June. In ParNa Iguaçu it was found in flower in October and December.
Diagnostic characteristics: Robust lianas with bipinnate leaves recognized by a combination of characters, stipitate foliar nectary between all pairs of pinnae and inflorescences in glomerules.
Conservation: Native-NE.
