Material examined. 2 males, 1 female, Ilha de Santa Bárbara (17 ° 57 ’ 49 ”S 38 ° 41 ’ 53 ”W), coll. G.O. Soledade, 02.ix. 2013, tide pool, under rocks, UESC 1542; 1 male, 1 female, same collection data, 03.ix. 2013, UESC 1543.

Distribution. Western Atlantic—Bahamas, southern Florida, West Indies, northern South America and Brazil (Fernando de Noronha, Pernambuco and Bahia) (Coelho & Ramos-Porto 1998; Coelho et al. 2006; Santos et al. 2012).

Previous records from Abrolhos. None.

Remarks. The southern known distribution limit of M. semilaeve in the western Atlantic is extended from Taipús de Fora, Maraú, Bahia (13 ° 56 ’22.0”S 38 ° 55 ’35.4”W) ( Santos et al. 2012) to Ilha de Santa Bárbara, Abrolhos, Bahia (17 ° 57 ’ 49 ”S 38 ° 41 ’ 53 ”W).
