Key to Chilean species of Homalocnemis
1 Front of scutum with paired, broad brownish vittae between dull grey patches. Prescutellar depression with long, anteriorly pointed pruinescent stripe ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1–5 ). Anal lobe of wing well developed ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1–5 ). Vein R 2+3 strongly upcurved distally, ending proximal to branching of vein R 4+5 (radial fork). Section between veins R 2+3 and R 4 equal to or longer than section between veins R 4 and R 5 ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1–5 ).................................................................. - Front of scutum entirely dull black. Prescutellar depression with broad rectangular pruinescent patch. Anal lobe of wing weakly developed ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 13–15 ). Vein R 2+3 gently upcurved distally, ending distal to branching of vein R 4+5 (radial fork). Section between veins R 2+3 and R 4 shorter than section between veins R 4 and R 5 ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 13–15 )........................ H. praesumpta Collin
