Comments

This is a very distinctive species and can be easily recognized by its abundant pubescence, in particular on the thorax and abdomen, its spotted forewing membrane and light-coloured pterostigma. Another distinctive feature not mentioned by Roig-Alsina is the reduced apical segment (apical to velum) of the foretibial spur, its length being shorter than half the length of the basal portion. Eyes strongly converging below, presence of a well-developed depression on the metapostnotum and abundant pubescence suggest a basal position for lemniscatus within Osirinus .
