Range:— Endemic to Bolivia (CO, LP, SC).
Ecology:— Fairly common; submerged to nearly emergent aquatic in clear high-elevation lakes and pools in humid forest to puna environments, forming dense colonies in water to at least 6 m deep; 2600–4800 m.
Notes:— Megaspores ca. 0.36 mm in diameter, usually rugulate, rarely smooth; microspores 29–34 μm long spinulose; 2 n =44.
