( K) ; Falam District : 2285 m, 10 Oct 1910, Venning 46 ( AMES, K) ; Mindat District : 1830 m, Kingdon-Ward 22725 ( BM) ; same loc., 1750−2700 m, 5 Dec 2002, Murata et al. 025172 ( MBK). WITHOUT LOCALITY. Type. Reported from Sagaing and Mandalay regions by Kress et al. (2003: 71; as Cymbidium erythraceum ), but we have not seen material from these areas.
Distribution:— Northern India, the Himalayas, Myanmar, Vietnam and southwestern China.
