Type-host: Podocnemis unifilis Troschel, 1848 (Chelonia: Testudinae).

Type-locality: Xingu River (“Volta Grande” region) (3 ◦ 23′12.682″S 51 ◦ 44′58.315″W), Municipality of Vitoria ´do Xingu, Par´a, Brazil GoogleMaps .

Type-specimens: Holotype ( CHIOC 39197 View Materials a), allotype ( CHIOC 39197 View Materials b) and 28 paratypes ( CHIOC 39197 View Materials c-39197d) were deposited in the helminthological collection of Oswaldo Cruz Institute - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Site of infection: Stomach.

Prevalence: 33% (1 infected/3 examined).
