( Fig. 42 View FIGURE 42 )

Types. Male holotype, 1♀ paratype, CHINA: Yunnan Province, Kunming City, Mt. Xishan [25°N, 102°36’E], April 26, 2004, leg. Z. S. Zhang ( MHBU) GoogleMaps .

Diagnosis. Very similar to P. huberi sp. nov. in the shape of palpal bulb and epigynum, both appendices without small branch centrally ( Figs. 17H View FIGURE 17 and 42H View FIGURE 42 ). It can be distinguished from P. huberi sp. nov. by the shape of the tip of the procursus ( Figs. 42G–I View FIGURE 42 ), by the short knob-shaped apophysis of the epigynum ( Figs. 42A View FIGURE 42 ), and by the longer single ventral apophysis of trochanter ( Figs. 42D and 42I View FIGURE 42 ).

Etymology. The specific name is a patronym in honor of the late Dr. M. I. Saaristo, a well known arachnologist from Finland.

Description. Male (holotype): total body length 5.8: cephalothorax 1.7 long, 1.9 wide; abdomen 4.1 long, 1.8 wide. Leg I: 49.6 (12.9+1.1+12.1+21.0+2.5), tibia II: 9.4, tibia III: 6.0, tibia IV: 8.0; tibia I L/D: 71. Prosoma shape as in Fig. 42C View FIGURE 42 . Carapace short, broad and almost circular, ochre, with pair of brown markings broadly connecting to ocular area. Cephalic region raised, without brown marks centrally, ocular area dark yellow. Clypeus 0.54, dark ochre, without marks. Distance AME–AME 0.08. Diameter AME 0.12, ALE 0.18, PME0.15, PLE 0.16. Chelicerae as in Fig. 42E View FIGURE 42 , with pair of black apophyses distally, pair of unsclerotized thumb-shaped apophyses proximolaterally and pair of unsclerotized rounded apophyses proximocentrally. Labium light yellow. Endites gray. Sternum dark gray, almost without patches as in Fig. 42F View FIGURE 42 . Femora, patellae and tibiae fawn, with dark rings, metatarsi and tarsi yellow. Abdomen cylindrical, pale ochre, dorsum with numerous small brown patterns as in Fig. 42C View FIGURE 42 . Venter pale brown. Palps as in Figs. 42H–I View FIGURE 42 , bulb with a tileshaped uncus and a hook-shaped appendix. Procursus as in Fig. 42G View FIGURE 42 . Tarsal organ capsulate.

Female (paratype): in general very similar to male. Total length 5.5: cephalothorax 1.6 long, 1.6 wide; abdomen 3.9 long, 1.6 wide. Tibia I: 9.2. Distance AME–AME 0.08. Diameter AME 0.10, ALE 0.15, PME 0.13, PLE 0.14. Epigynum roughly triangular as in Fig. 42A View FIGURE 42 , with a knob-shaped apophysis on the top. Dorsal view as in Fig. 42B View FIGURE 42 , with a mushroom-shaped sclerotized arch anteriorly and a pair of oval pore plates.
