1.2. Neurolaena ser. Macrocephalae Turner (1982: 122 , as “ Macrocephala ”).
Type species:— Neurolaena macrocephala Schultz ex Hemsley (1881: 233) ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ).
Diagnosis: —Strikingly campanulate (wider than longer) involucre 7.85–12 × 8.6–15 mm, paleae 7–10 mm long, disc corolla 6–7.5 mm long, pappus bristles 4.8–7 mm long.
Turner (1982) proposed this series with two subordinated species: N. macrocephala Schultz ex Hemsley (1881: 233) and N. schippii Robinson (1935: 62) .
