Protologue citation:—“ Bolivien: Ohne bestimmten Standort (Miguel Bang n. 2201).”
Notes:— Schumann (1902) cited only the gathering Bang 2201, without specifying a herbarium. We found 17 specimens in 10 herbaria, all with labels matching the protologue and properly indicating collector, gathering number, and locality (“Plantae Bolivianae”). Among them, specimen G 00168760 has a signed label of Schumann’s revision and, therefore, is designated here as the lectotype.
