Type (lectotype, designated here):— BRAZIL. no date, Pohl 961 ( BR 0000013326272, isolectotype: F 0046157, W [†]). ( Fig. 21 View FIGURE 21 ) Protologue citation:—“Brasilia: Corgo de Jaragua leg. Pohl n. 961 (6), (Herb. Vindob.).”
Notes: — Maranta pohliana was based only on Pohl 961 ( W, destroyed). Körnicke (1862) mentioned that the type was in W, but the material was destroyed (Photo Negative no. F 9844). Therefore, we designate here duplicate BR 0000013326272 (Pohl 961) as lectotype.
