CURRENT STATUS: Valid genus [ teste Herting & Dely-Draskovits (1993: 394) ]. FAMILY: TACHINIDAE . REMARKS: There are two original spellings of this genus-group name in Rondani (1862d): Chetoptilia (page

166) and Chetoptylia (page 232). Acting as First Reviser, we select Chetoptilia as the correct original spelling, which relegates Chetoptylia (q. v.) to unavailable name status. EMENDATIONS: Chaetoptilia Bezzi & Stein, 1907: 402 (unjustified), n. syn.
