CURRENT STATUS: Unjustified emendation of Cyrtophloeba Rondani, 1856 (as “ Cyrthophleba ”); junior synonym of Cyrtophloeba Rondani, 1856 . New synonymy.

FAMILY: TACHINIDAE .

REMARKS: Name made available as an explicit emendation. Rondani (1857: 13) clearly proposed Cyrthoplaeba to replace the original spelling of this genus-group name, so this spelling is an emendation even though he cited the original spelling as Cyrthophleba instead of either of the two original spellings ( Cyrtophleba and Cyrtophloeba ).
