CURRENT STATUS: Unjustified emendation of Phthiria Meigen, 1803 ; junior synonym of Phthiria Meigen, 1803 . New synonymy.

FAMILY: BOMBYLIIDAE .

REMARKS: Name made available as an emendation by virtue of similar spelling changes in two or more names from “i” to “y” in the same work.

CURRENT STATUS: Incorrect subsequent spelling of Phycodroma Stenhammar, 1854 .

FAMILY: COELOPIDAE .

REMARKS: Criteria for making this name available as an emendation were not found to be fulfilled in these works. Mathis & McAlpine (2011: 194) incorrectly cited page 48.
