REMARKS: Name made available as an emendation by virtue of the original and changed spellings being printed together and the changed spelling being adopted. Sphyxosoma Rondani, 1856 is currently treated as a junior synonym of Conops Linnaeus, 1758 [ teste Chvála & Smith (1988: 248) ].
