Regional distribution. A Single dry Shell identified by uS aS belonging to Valvata brevicula (See fig. 2 F) waS found among SpecimenS collected by ZhaltSanoVa in an unknown waterbody of Mongolia (the label of thiS Sample waS totally deStroyed).
Extra-limital distribution. The type locality of V. brevicula iS Boguchan Bay of the Baikal Lake ( VinarSki & Kantor 2016). It iS broadly diStributed in Siberia and the RuSSian Far EaSt, including areaS neighbouring to Mongolia ( SitnikoVa et al. 2015).
Morphology. The Shell of V. brevicula iS heaVily ribbed and reSembleS ShellS of V. confusa . The main difference between the two SpecieS lieS in the relatiVe height of Shell Spire; in V. brevicula it iS Significantly leSS than in V. confusa .
